Folding Wagons To Carry Equipment

When you’re heading down to the beach, you can find yourself needing to take a lot of equipment. If you’re covering a considerable distance, you may find it tough to carry. You may even need to make a number of trips, meaning that you’ll have to leave valuable equipment unattended if you’re on your own on your metal detecting mission.

It could be that you’re on a coastal trip with your family, spending a day on the beach. If that’s the case, there’s going to be several of you to carry equipment, but there’s probably plenty of other kit to transport too.

We’ve recently invested in a wagon from Mac Sports, which you can load up with plenty of gear when you head out on the beach. The brilliant thing about it is that it’s collapsible, so takes up a very small amount of space in the trunk. When you fold it out, it’s really spacious. We’ve even put the kids in even though you’re not supposed to – they love it!

I was more interesting in my detector kit though, as I often spend an entire day down on the sand. The great thing about the Mac Sports wagon over some of the others is the size of the wheels. If you’re loading it up, narrow wheels quickly dig into the sand as you’re in motion, and befor long you’ll find yourself fighting against a sinking wagon.

There’s all sorts of different types of wagon out there, some described as beach wagons, others not. What I found though, is the single biggest factor that makes them good on the beach is the wheels being at the larger end.

They’ll easily house your detector and digging equipment, plus your lunch – the important bit. That means you’ve got no issues with staying out all day and you get the best chance of making some really brilliant finds with the extra time that buys you.
