Florida is located in the southeastern part of the United States with the Atlantic Ocean
on its eastern side. By large, the state is a humid subtropical climate that attracts
numerous retired Americans to settle there in there later years. Florida is host to Disney
World and many other attractions that bring tourists from all over the world. Florida is known
for its hurricane season, tornadoes, and lightning storms. In 1845 Florida became the 27 th state in
the union.
